ABOUT STEVEN
Steven Bradford grew up in Gardena, California. His mother– a nurse– instilled in him strong values of caring for others and giving back to the community. His father –who owned his own small business– taught him the importance of speaking up and out against injustices.

As State Senator for the 35th District, Steven has delivered on issues from healthcare to jobs to public safety to economic revitalization.
Since his election to the Senate in 2016, Steven has authored new state laws increasing teacher pay across the state, forcing big banks to become more transparent, enabling college athletes to get paid, holding utilities accountable for safety spending, incentivizing savings and financial security, supporting the rights of crime victims, and more. Senator Bradford currently chairs the Senate Banking Committee, and the Select Committee on Boys and Men of Color.
